Door Way Outreach Ministry 

The purpose of Outreach Ministries is to mobilize members of our church to share the gospel and the love of Christ with those who do not know Jesus Christ as their savior.

Ministry Breakdown
There are two major areas in this ministry: Corporate outreach and Personal outreach.  As a local church seeking to stay on mission for Jesus, we will endeavor to help all believers to be involved in both.  

Corporate Outreaches

Easter Outreach - April 3rd 10am to Noon
On the Saturday before Easter we give families somewhere to go and have fun, as well as be exposed to a mild presentation of the Gospel.  An Easter Egg hunt on church grounds with a puppet show, games and door prizes will be a part of the day.  This year someone will win a Wee game console valued at over $200.  Come join us and bring along some friends who may not know Jesus.

The Oasis - May 8th  9am to 6pm
This outreach, held the Saturday before Mother's day, is designed to simply "love on" the patrons of the Mayfair event on Lake Morton.  We have a cooling station on the corner of our property, where visitors get free ice cold bottles of water, balloons, wonderful little story books about Jesus and invitations to other events we will be holding.

Lake Morton Candy Town Carnival - Oct 23th 5pm to 8pm
This outreach gives kids and their families a safe place to spend the end of October.  This Saturday event will have puppets; several Bible-based carnival games; lots of candy; and Jesus to too!  It is a high-bred "trunk or treat."  Come out and have fun!

Angle Tree the LMCC way - Dec 24th 5:30 pm to 7pm
Every Christmas season, the members of our congregation all chip in and buy gifts and meals to be delivered to those who may need a bit of help at this special time of year.  Come be a part of this worthwhile sharing of what Jesus has given to us. 

 Personal Outreach

Share the Good News
People wishing to learn how to explain the good news of Jesus’ forgiveness and leadership to others are invited to attend evangelism training classes, which are offered periodically during Sunday morning Adult Education Fellowships or on Wednesday evenings. A key objective of the course is to provide students with the tools they need to clearly express the gospel. 

Evangelistic Discussion Groups
People are encouraged to initiate discussion groups in their neighborhoods or workplaces.

Grace Works
This annual day of serving people in our community in various ways is usually held on a Saturday in March. Projects are available for people of all ages and abilities, and may include general clean-up, cooking, and light home repairs.  

Christianity Explored Groups
These are in-home basic bible studies that help serve to guide our unbelieving friends to Jesus.  This exceptional tool is a non-aggressive, instructional approach to sharing the Gospel.

Coaching for Personal Evangelism
You can alos join a six week Counseling and On-the-Job training program.  During these six weeks we will evaluate your New Testament evangelistic style, guide you in developing a personal plan of outreach, and assist you in putting your plan into action.

Please know that all of our outreaches are designed to show Love to those without Jesus and to the un-churched people of our wonderful city Lakeland.  Loving people with actions as well as words is our emphasis.
