e-groups

Whether you are exploring faith in God, a new believer, or you have been a long time committed follower of Jesus, we believe you'll greatly enjoy and grow from becoming part of an e-group.  At Lake Morton Community Church, our stated mission is that "We exist to exalt God as we equip the church and engage the world."  Part of exalting the Lord is found in the community that exists within the body of Christ.  e-groups seek to exalt God through this community.  We believe that loving fellowship between believers, in a small and intimate atmosphere where real relationships can be built, exalts our Lord.  At the same time, e-groups equip our members through biblically rich resources that are used in our groups.  Then, we pray that as we engage our world our e-groups will be an evangelistic arm of the chruch and will impact people for Jesus Christ.

Why should I join an e-group?

We realize that forming closer relationships with new faces on Sunday morning is a challenge! That’s why e-groups are so important to us.  e-groups, like nothing else, provide a place to build authentic relationships in a personal, comfortable environment. Here, we hang out, catch up, and join in dynamic discussions about spiritual truth and growth.  And we also just plain have fun! Our goal is to build a community where nobody stands alone.

I’m so busy during the week that I don’t have time for anything else…

That’s always a challenge for all of us-but we believe that once you've experienced the benifit of being a part of an e-group you'll find it easy to make the time.  Also, e-groups have a definite beginning and end date so you never have to feel trapped in an open ended commitment.

But I don’t know much about the Bible…

Great! Our studies are always designed to be rich, interesting and relevant to all people regardless of background. Topics and types of studies will vary from time to time.  Just ask!

What if I don’t want to join in the discussion?

That’s no problem. You choose the level of participation that feels right for you.

What if I can’t make it every week?

That’s not a problem either. While everyone is encouraged to be consistent in attending (and we think you’ll want to!), we know things come up. 

So how do I join in?

To join an e-group, call the church office and we'll register you for the Fall semester. We’ll also be sure to give you all the information you'll need to get you ready for the first meeting.  So call and sign up for an e-group today!  #863-686-5919
