During Hurricane Irma, our building sustained damage in a number of areas. The major damage was to the steeple (which pulled away from its roof mounting on one side and gave an entry point for water to get into the building), the drywall (with major sections saturated), and the flooring (specifically the floor of the Education Building which was partially ruined). The hurricane also blew off some pieces of soffit & drain gutters, and created a ditch by the retaining wall.
The repairs will cost $20,000. We are in a good position to cover $15,000, so we are asking each family in our congregation to prayerfully consider giving toward the final $5,000.00 beyond your normal tithes & offerings. If everyone gives a little extra over the next few weeks, we can easily meet this need!
We’ve contracted with Green Construction to do the repair work. Here is the work they’ve done to-date:

- Completed a thorough remediation of the water & moisture in the building.

- Drywall & flooring replacement
- Painting & finishing work
