Our primary purpose in all we do is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Worship is our first calling as God’s people, and is therefore central to the life of Lake Morton Community Church. Each Sunday, we seek to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through scripture readings, prayers, music, preaching, and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper.
We desire that our worship will always be marked both by reverence and celebration. Worship should be reverent, because we are coming into the presence of a holy God (Isaiah 6:1-5), who is worthy of all honor, glory, praise, and adoration (Rev. 5:9-14). Worship should also be celebratory, because in Christ we have received abundant blessings which fill us with joy and thanksgiving!
Musically, you will find a healthy combination of new and old at LMCC. We’ve been blessed with many musical gifts in our church, which allows a variety of instruments and voices leading us in worship each Sunday. Because we believe worship involves the entire church body, we value congregational singing over individual performance.
